Kobe Bryant spent his childhood in Italy after his dad retired on NBA. He started his life as a basketball player, joining the local team at a very young age. Bryant was fond of Reggio Emilia, a city in Italy where he has spent 2 years of his life.

“I grew up here. I used to ride my bike here. There were all my friends, I have many memories, it’s special" He said during an interview. Kobe Bryant exhibited a huge love for his childhood town.

Kobe Bryant was deeply attached to Italy that even in adulthood the country still calls him to come home. He always wanted to bring his daughters to Italy to show how heart-warming the experience they couldn't get in America.
